Blogging Tories Forums

Today is the official launch of the Blogging Tories forums. Come in and chat with a variety of conservatives (fiscal, social, libertarian, neocon etc.) and maybe some liberals too. Be sure to register so that you can begin posting right away (you can pick a pseudonym if you like).

You can post news, opinion and even Youtube videos in the forum. We’re still building the forum as well. What features/topics would you like to see discussed?

CP writes about NDP draft resolutions

A reporter from CP called me yesterday to confirm some facts for a story he was writing on my uncovering of the NDP draft policy resolutions.

He told me that the NDP actually wasn’t very mad about it and that they confirmed that they had made a mistake by putting the document online.

Jack Layton responded to the level of sanity of the resolutions at the end of the article.

Here’s a sample:

Getting action from the CBC: Summary data

I’ve got some data on the Christina Lawand scandal from my source inside the CBC.

First, some background: The original CBC Lawand exposé has been viewed over 13,000 times and the statement of regret has been viewed over 6000 times.

My source at the CBC forwards the internal memo on the Lawand Affair:

Christina Lawand’s report (Harper press conference) August 4th: CBC was accused of political bias in all emails; many called for disciplinary action up to and including firing Christina Lawand and
everyone remotely connected to the production of the story in
question. (x 118)

That means that 118 people wrote emails along the theme outlined in the memo above. I’m told that letters are still coming in. My source tells me that it is the most complaints that they have ever received regarding the work done by a reporter.
