CNN: Be like Cooper

I’m watching American Morning right now and CNN’s producers must have passed around a memo to their anchors and journalists: Be like Cooper.

Anderson Cooper slammed a Democratic Senator yesterday for praising the President, ex-Presidents Bush and Clinton and Congress for their efforts. Cooper cut off the Senator and chastised her for playing political cheerleader for her colleagues while the residents of the Gulf States are without adequate help.

Already this morning Soledad O’Brien pressed the director of FEMA quite hard and Miles O’Brien asked the Governor of Louisiana whether she blames herself for not asking for the 40,000 troops sooner.

It’ll be another stressful day for the victims, the media and the officials. Hopefully, it either boosts (or at least doesn’t impede) the help that the residents of the Gulf States require.
