Mississauga—Streetsville is a suburban riding in the northwestern corner of Mississauga, anchored by the historic villages of Streetsville and Meadowvale. The riding is one of the most ethnically diverse in the province, with large South Asian, Arab, and Filipino communities alongside its European-heritage population. Nina Tangri won the seat for the Progressive Conservatives in 2018, flipping it from the Liberals who had held it since the riding's creation in 2007. In 2022, Tangri sought a second term while the Liberals looked to reclaim territory in their traditional Mississauga stronghold.

Local Issues
Small business survival dominated local debate in Mississauga—Streetsville. The COVID-19 pandemic hit the riding’s independent retailers hard, with parking lots emptying and several neighbourhood favourites closing permanently. The historic Streetsville village core, with its turn-of-the-century commercial buildings, faced growing urbanization pressures, and residents pushed for stronger heritage protections alongside economic recovery support.
Transit access was another persistent concern. The riding sits on the edge of Mississauga’s suburban fringe, and most residents rely on automobiles rather than public transit. A zero-dollar transfer between MiWay buses and GO Transit was implemented during the term, but calls for expanded service to the area’s suburban neighbourhoods continued. Meadowvale, a Heritage Conservation District since 1980 and the first in Ontario, grappled with balancing preservation of its historic character against the intensification demands of a growing city.
