Edmonton Riverbend curves along the western and southern banks of the North Saskatchewan River in southwest Edmonton, taking in established residential communities such as Riverbend, Terwillegar, Windermere, Blackmud Creek, and Keswick. The riding is bounded on the west and north by the river and on the east by the Whitemud Creek ravine, giving it a heavily treed, parkland character unusual for an urban constituency. Terwillegar Park, Fort Edmonton Park, and the river valley trail system run through the riding, providing extensive green space and recreational amenities. The riding was revised for the 2025 election under the 2022 redistribution, with most of the Windermere community added.

About the Riding
Edmonton Riverbend is one of the city's most affluent constituencies. The Terwillegar and Windermere areas feature newer executive-style housing, while the older Riverbend communities -- Brander Gardens, Ramsay Heights, and Brookside -- offer mature tree canopies and established streetscapes along the river bluffs. Household incomes and homeownership rates are above the Edmonton average, and the riding attracts families seeking proximity to nature, quality schools, and suburban space within city limits.
The North Saskatchewan River valley is the riding's defining natural feature, offering kilometres of multi-use trails, cross-country ski routes, and off-leash dog parks. Fort Edmonton Park, the country's largest living history museum, draws visitors from across the region. The Terwillegar Recreation Centre and the expansion of the Windermere commercial district have improved local amenities, though rapid growth in the southern communities has placed pressure on road infrastructure and transit service.
Edmonton Riverbend has been held by the Conservatives since its creation in 2015, though the Liberal party has shown increasing competitiveness in the riding's well-educated, professional demographics. The 2025 contest drew attention as a test of whether Conservative dominance in suburban Edmonton could be challenged by a Liberal surge under new leadership.
