Longueuil—Charles-LeMoyne sits on the south shore of the St. Lawrence River directly across from Montreal, encompassing portions of the former municipalities of Greenfield Park, LeMoyne, and Saint-Lambert along with parts of Vieux-Longueuil. Created by the 2012 redistribution and first contested in 2015, the riding had a population of roughly 112,000. It is one of the most linguistically diverse ridings on the South Shore — about 74% report French as a mother tongue, 9% English, and significant communities speak Spanish, Arabic, Creole, Persian, and Romanian. Greenfield Park holds official bilingual status, the only borough in Longueuil to do so, and the area’s anglophone heritage stretches back to British immigrants who settled there in the early twentieth century.

First elected in 2015, she was re-elected in 2019 and sought a third term in 2021. The mother of two sons serving in the Canadian Armed Forces, she was a longtime advocate for veterans and military families through Royal Canadian Legion Branch 94 and the Greenfield Park Lions Club.

She was officially invested at a virtual nomination meeting in June 2021 alongside party leader Yves-François Blanchet.

About the Riding
The riding’s economy benefits from its proximity to Montreal and its position as part of the Longueuil agglomeration — one of the largest industrial centres in Quebec. Major employers in the area include Agropur Dairy Cooperative, one of the largest dairy processors in Canada, along with offices of Sun Life Financial and the Royal Bank of Canada. The district is served by the Longueuil–Université-de-Sherbrooke metro station, providing direct rapid transit access to downtown Montreal.
Diversity and housing affordability were central concerns heading into the 2021 campaign. Community leaders warned that gentrification in Greenfield Park and LeMoyne was pushing low-income and vulnerable residents out of neighbourhoods that had long been valued for their social and linguistic mix. The COVID-19 pandemic’s effects on public health and the local service economy also weighed heavily on voters. Politically, the riding had been a two-way contest between the Liberals and the Bloc since 2015, with the Liberals drawing strength in the more anglophone Greenfield Park area and the Bloc competing strongly in the francophone sections of Vieux-Longueuil.
