đ Yolande Thibeault, the Liberal candidate, won the riding with 19,679 votes making up a 45.4% share of the vote.
đ„ The runner-up Bloc QuĂ©bĂ©cois candidate, Christian Picard, received 16,519 votes (38.1%) and was therefore defeated by a vote margin of 3,160.
đ Other candidates who received a sizable share of the vote include Nic Leblanc - Canadian Alliance (7.1%) and Walter Stirling - Progressive Conservative (6.2%).
