Michael Ignatieff’s Dean Scream

Michael Ignatieff and Howard Dean, two liberal politicians from New England with a good set of pipes. Ignatieff hopes his career path doesn’t follow in the same direction as Dean’s after that fateful speech in Iowa. YEEEARG!

To dignify Count Igula’s performance with a response is beyond my capability.

    Who’s he channeling, Elmer Gantry?

Disappointed that this type of criticizm is coming from a Blogging Tory. It’s a Liberal style of attack.

  • fellow Conservative

Sorry but this criticizm doesn’t reflect well on Conservatives. It’s just too petty.

Just wondering, have Iggy’s handlers been hiding the real Iggy from us all these years.
Didn’t he recently complain about angry faces in the conservative party.
Now the media will have to explain if this is the real man or is the guy we have seen for the past 5 yrs, the real one. He can’t be both.

Funny clip. It only needs some background music. My suggestion is adding the dueling banjos song in the background.

Rather than watching grown men becoming angry screamers in the hope of appealing to voters, I prefer to watch this:

Statement by the PM on maternal health available here:

    http://www.cpac.ca/forms/index.asp?dsp=template&act=view3&pagetype=vod&hl=e&clipID=4990
“Headline Politics
Prime Minister Stephen Harper speaks at the first meeting of the United Nations Commission on Information and Accountability for Women’s and Children’s Health in Geneva. Harper, one of the commission co-chairs, discussed Canadian funding for development projects in Bangladesh, Ethiopia, and Mozambique.”

On P&P yesterday, both Flanagan and MacPhail said that authenticity is important in politics and Canadians don’t see Iggy as fired up. They might see this screaming as an inauthentic performance.

Here’s something that elicited a scream from me … in a scrum yesterday (Jan 26) Michael Ignatieff was asked his opinion on Jack Layton’s proposals to reform the Senate.

Mr. Ignatieff stated that both PM Harper and Jack Layton have flip-flopped and continue to change their mind on senate reform. And here’s the screamer … Ignatieff actually said — with the gravitas only a noted professor of history can muster — that PM Harper has appointed the largest number of senators ever in the history of Canada.
From CPAC, at about the 17:00 mark:
“… Il a mis au senat plus de senateurs que n’importe autre premier ministre dans l’histoire du pays …”

    Mr. Ignatieff, please verify …
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Canadian_Senate_appointments_by_prime_minister

I know that this issue is not a ballot question, but it does confirm for me that Mr. Ignatieff has … how shall I phrase it? … a shallow knowledge of Canada.

I actually support the party with cash. Actually think Mr. Harper has class but think some ads are childish.
