đ The Canadian federal electoral district of Barrie was contested during the 2008 Federal election which was held on October 13, 2008.
đ Patrick Brown, the Conservative candidate, won the riding with 27,927 votes making up a 52.4% share of the vote.
đ„ The runner-up Liberal candidate, Rick Jones, received 12,732 votes (23.9%) and was therefore defeated by a vote margin of 15,195.
đ Other candidates who received a sizable share of the vote include Myrna Clark - NDP-New Democratic Party (12%) and Erich Jacoby-Hawkins - Green Party (11.1%).
