đ Ed Broadbent, the N.D.P. candidate, won the riding with 24,797 votes making up a 40.8% share of the vote.
đ„ The runner-up Liberal candidate, Richard Mahoney, received 18,942 votes (31.2%) and was therefore defeated by a vote margin of 5,855.
đ Other candidates who received a sizable share of the vote include Mike Murphy - Conservative (19.1%) and David Chernushenko - Green Party (7.6%).
