đ Gilles Duceppe, the Bloc QuĂ©bĂ©cois candidate, won the riding with 28,038 votes making up a 60% share of the vote.
đ„ The runner-up Liberal candidate, Jean-François Thibault, received 8,293 votes (17.7%) and was therefore defeated by a vote margin of 19,745.
đ Other candidates who received a sizable share of the vote include François Gregoire - N.D.P. (12%) and Dylan Perceval-Maxwell - Green Party (6.1%).
