đ The Canadian federal electoral district of Oxford was contested during the 2000 Federal election which was held on November 26, 2000.
đ John Finlay, the Liberal candidate, won the riding with 15,181 votes making up a 35.6% share of the vote.
đ„ The runner-up Progressive Conservative candidate, Dave MacKenzie, received 13,050 votes (30.6%) and was therefore defeated by a vote margin of 2,131.
đ Other candidates who received a sizable share of the vote include Patricia Smith - Canadian Alliance (26.8%) and Shawn Rouse - N.D.P. (5.3%).
