Whose Centre? Eaton’s Centre!

[YouTube]

Marxist shoppers of the world unite!

Would you let a guy — clad in a black shirt with a red star with the word “resist” on it — who is banging on your door during a riot into your business?

    Typical Liberal/NDP/GreenParty/CAW/CUPE/CBC Watching loser!!!!!!

  • Liz J

At the very least they'd want to search his bag! His behaviour can hardly be considered normal or civilized but then the Leftist brain has no capacity for reasoned thought.

This is for the shopaholic in your video:

a city full of that attitude, and they wonder why security cost $1B to secure the city from mind like that.
little wonder we can't elect a CPC candidate in the big smoke.

  • p.f.

With a great supporting performance by the next Marcel Marceau.

  • kenn2

Where do you get off with “a city full of that attitude”? Most of Toronto's attitude re the G8/G20 circus was “why here?”, and “is there any way possible that I can avoid going downtown for 10 days?”. It apparently hasn't occurred to you that alot of protesters came in from out of town, and from out of the country for this event.

Bright, bright idea holding this not just in the business center of Canada's biggest city, affecting hundreds of businesses, but so close to Union Station that for 3 days you couldn't commute in by train, even if you didn't work right in “da zone”.

Oh well, it's nice that Harper finally has a bona fide boondoggle of his very own. $1B+ for a three-day meeting. Geez, even the stupid long-gun registry took a couple of years to run up a billion. It provided a heck of alot more employment, too.

little wonder we can't elect a CPC candidate in the big smoke. </1>

Toronto is a progressive city. When y'all managed to drive out the P from the PCs, you pretty much guaranteed you won't get a bite here.

(“marxist” … “riot” … way to kick the anthill, Stephen)

The business owner's in Toronto did not want the G20 Summit there. Of course they wouldn't let him in.

Not one reference to the CBC. This cost Toronto. None of the businesses wanted this!

  • Gayle

Oh dear lord. Hey look, a crazy guy wants to get in to Eatons Centre and they won't let him.

Hey look. Even crazier people are suggesting this one incident is representative of an entire city, and an entire block of voters.

    Anyway…

I thought commies were against consumerism. They don't go shopping, they go dumpster diving.

You know, after watching it a second time, I figure that this is either a staged performance or…if any of you have worked with or even spent time with special needs adults, this guy pretty much fits the bill, in which case, it's entirely forgiveable. There's a farm down the road from where I used to live which houses and employes special needs adults and this guy's behaviour is very much in line with what I saw every day when I rode the bus with them (going to work). There is a routine and there are expected occurences and if this fellow is special needs, then a closed store would set off a reaction. But, then it raises a question – why was he downtown on this particular day when things were anything but routine? So, I can only conclude that the guy was looking for his 15 minutes of fame or infamy. If he is not a special needs adult, then he would fall into the category of 'jerk'.

What is wrong with the business owners in Toronto, just another example of NIMBY, let some other city or town be victims of rent a mobs. Toronto was the target of the protesters, they advertized their intentions so wherever in Toronto the summit was held, they would be hit.
From the beginning the media and liberal politicians and local politicians said no, without ever thinking of the benefits. But, they all worked very hard to spread the word, destroy a few places in Toronto. Those cbc/ctv gals were orgasmic in their joy at watching it happen, saying, we told you so.
The protesters and the groups sponsoring them, from unions and all the rest should have to pay. The business owners should be filing lawsuits against those groups. If they had any guts they would.

  • blindboygrunt

So did we ever find out why?

Thank God fat gay guys are out there fighting for our right to shop. Most Canadians would just mumble an apology and head home.

  • batb

I don't know, EastofEden, this guy has a mouth on him like a stevedore on a bender. He's also wearing a black T-shirt with a “TO RESIST …” (I couldn't see what he was resisting).

I've known lots of special needs folks and they don't talk like this guy. Sure, the repeating of why, why, why would be characteristic and the frustration, but that's about it. As for “you don't have my permission to take my picture,” hmmm, I don't think so.

I was wondering if this guy was an outrider for the black bloc or a refugee from Church Street.

Okay, I amend my take on this – he's not special needs but I definitely think the guy has mental health issues. A normal person finds a door locked and he walks away. This guy obsessed – clearly, there is definitely something wrong with him. And the guy filming was right – it's a private enterprise and not a public building. It is a private structure which opens to the public but is not owned by the public. This guy definitely has issues. And, I will say something totally chauvinistic: real men don't get upset if they can't shop.

  • batb

eofe: ” … real men don't get upset if they can't shop”!!!!! LOL!!!!!

Yeah, I was wondering about his status as a real man myself!

  • Liz J

He has an agenda, he made a scene and some guy with a camera “just happened” to be there to film him.
Still like to know what was in his bag. Was he grocery shopping for some perishables like fish and then wanted to go mall shopping? Not a good plan for anyone playing with a full deck….or someone without an agenda.

  • http://stubblejumpingredneck.blogspot.com Louise

It's amusing how many leftoids don't understand the difference between private property and public property.

  • Gayle

What a silly thing to say. At what point did the guy in the video come out and say “hey, I am left wing”.

Here is a lesson for you. Just because someone behaves in a way you do not condone, that does not mean he or she votes a different way than you do.

Here is another lesson for you – even if he were left wing, just because one single person does not understand a shopping mall is private property, that does not mean every single person who may vote the way he does also does not understand a shopping mall is private property.

It is amazing how many of you have to have basic concepts explained…

  • east of eden

Hey look. A troll making a comment for the sake of making a comment.

    Anyway…

  • east of eden

'It is amazing how many of you have to have basic concepts explained… '

Bahahahahaha. Man, if that isn't the epitome of arrogance…

Gayle you just topped yourself in terms of arrogance. Thank you for making my day.

BTW – you sure make a lot of blanket statements about Conservatives and right-wingers but, then again, I'm quite accustomed to your double standard – seems to come with the territory of being a left-winger.

  • kenn2

Don't be too hard on them, Gayle. Since it's no longer acceptable to be openly homophobic, they lack outlets for expressing their fear and resentment of the changing world. So it's a relatively safe outlet for them to point and laugh at the unhappy man, I suppose. It's not like they'll ever meet him…

I agree that their constant generalizing gets a bit wearing. I certainly don't think that all who support the CPC are as bitter and angry as they are.

  • Beth C

This movie seems to have been removed, but this one still works: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FHIZ2Jl2vuQ

  • east of eden

I am bisexual, Kenn. So, what were you saying about homophobia?

  • kenn2

You're a faceless commenter on a public blog, like the rest of us. You're still responsible for what you say.

  • east of eden

And that addresses your accusation of homophobia…how?

  • kenn2

If you make a disparaging comment about someone, I gotta assume it comes from somewhere. So if your “not a real man” comment wasn't an implied gay slam…. what was it then?

(I like humour as much as the next guy/girl/tranny, but without context, a slur is a slur)
