Boy he sure lifts them up.<br>"Apparently federal NDP leader Jack Layton hatched a scheme for free publicity as the all-Canadian hockey fan on Sunday. He strategically positioned himself at Wayne Gretzky's bar to be in the centre of the camera's view, when CTV planned to show ordinary people celebrating developments in the gold medal men's final. <br>But then a funny thing occurred. Immediately after the second period, the camera turned on at Gretzky's as the crowd was yelling, jumping up and down and waving their arms. Well poor Jack; despite his conniving plan, his mug was being blocked by a real fan waving her arm. <br>So what does Jack do? He grabs this young girl's arm and forcefully yanks it down. If you watch this clip ( torontoist.com/2010/02/jack_layton_wants_you_to_make_sure_ you_see_him_celebrating. php), you will see the girl innocently waving her arm and happily cheering. Suddenly a quizzical look appears on her face as she looks at her arm as it's grabbed. Then the look changes as the grab turns into a forceful yank downward. Poor girl. She was just a fan.
