Appears they didn't know and didn't know enough to do their homework in preparation for the show.
Add to that Petey has been given the Order of Canada. Mr Granatstein, I thought, was the guru on the subject of the Canadian military history. For shame.

There simply is not enough material to fill this amount of time. OF course there is enough material to fill the extra hour with Conservative reporters this time

the politocs you hear on CBC is liberal minded. The next hour should be Conservatives.
The americans have liberal(democrat) media reporting and politic show hosted by liberals.
And they americans, have FOXNEWS a conservative station.

If the americans had 'ONLY' liberal media right across the USA. The president would be 'walking on water.
Canada 'only' has liberal national media right across this country. That's why the LPOC have been walking on water for decades without being harassed.

Have you ever heard CBC politic host ask the liberals for the missing $40million dollars;
the liberals $54B EI scandal ; etc etc.......? No!

The LPOC know very well that the media is for them, stand by them and will defend them to the end.

This doctor of history thought that people "win" the Victoria Cross and was not even in the ball park as to how many Canadians have actually been awarded the VC.

That was when they were not spending most of their time acting as fashion consultants on the fact that the GG wore her Army uniform. He even refered to it as the CF uniform. He had no idea about what regiments and units were represented and even felt compelled to point out that the kids in the Sea Cadet uniforms were not actually in the Navy.

It was atrocious from the word go. Judging from the dead air, I think they both went for a Timmies run when the service started.

Gotta agree with turtle. Probably the MOST normal document to come out of Ottawa since 1834.

Would have thought that Granatstein would be laying low after that atrocious appearance alongside Mansbridge at the national Rememberance Day service.

I rarely watch regular news because of the errors and tabloid style adopted years ago. It is easier or safer to ignore most of the MSM who prefer to scare, shock, sensationalize to get ratings. A quick search on the internet can provide information from various sources.

Yes, Liz, I wondered the same thing. Perhaps a bit off topic, but Iggy/Donolo is axeing the very core of support that lured him back to Canada (i.e. Davey, et al). IMHO, Coderre is just waiting in the wings for the Libs to turf Iggy– Coderre sees himself as the next Liberal P.M. from Quebec after Donolo cleans house. Wonder how all this is impacting the morale of the Lib party?

Absolutely right. The second half is some of the first half as well. However, the political panel is boring (Kathleen Petty?) and Solomon is not that great a host. He looks like he is going through the motions. It won't be long before it is cut back to 30 minutes. Would be interesting to see the ratings.
