Justin Trudeau demands $10,000 speaking fee… from Liberals
From Saturday’s Times Transcript,
A Who’s Who of Metro Moncton and, indeed, the province showed up and raised $35,000 for projects promoting increased literacy. And the crowd of about 500 attendees heard a ‘passionate’ speech by Justin Trudeau, son of PET.
Trudeau told reporters he loves visiting New Brunswick whenever he can: “I love it here. The people are so nice and hospitable,” he gushed. But what was that grumbling behind his back?
Highly respected attendees say the event could have raised a lot more than it did. . . $10,000 more. It seems that was the personal appearance fee young Justin charged local Liberals for his ‘passionate speech.’ Tell us again why he likes visiting . . . please!
Justin is also available for sweet 16 birthday parties, club openings and bat mitzvahs. Please call his booking agent for details.

Ask not what you can do for your party-ask what your party can do for you.
November 9th, 2009 at 12:38 pm
Did the fee come out of adscam hidden funds.

Justin sure has the Liberal attitude when it comes to value for dollars, nothing is more valuable than money for Liberals.
Question is would New Brunswickers be taken in by his gushing platitudes at any price?
November 9th, 2009 at 2:16 pm
Do New Brunswickers know that the liberals still owe them NB, money as well as the rest of canada.
Whatever $$$$$$amount the liberals get from fundraising- is not their money- it's ours.
November 9th, 2009 at 2:37 pm
Please correct me if I'm wrong, I'm trying to digest this, are you saying the Local Liberals pay Trudeau $10,000 to make a speech at a fund raiser, using donated money from Canadians. I don't know who to be disgusted with, Trudeau or the Local Liberals for hiring him.

“The rich get rich and the poor get poorer” … in the meantime, in between time, ain't we got a spoiled, entitled, typically Librano Trudeau?
The apple doesn't fall far from the tree. The Turd doesn't fall far from the pig at the public trough.

Hmmmm…So Liberal Justin Trudeau gets paid for talking at an LPC fundraiser.
I wonder how much he charged to stand up and give the eulogy at his pere's sending off party?
OUCH!…try not to be so catty simon!
Well JT”s a clever lad now isn't he ?….what with his inovative way of raising $$ to help pay off the LPC Adscam Moral Defecit Fund.
November 9th, 2009 at 4:06 pm
All this and the Librano apologists are all worried about Senator Duffy's expenses. Pathetic lot.
November 9th, 2009 at 4:45 pm
Is the $ 10k too much or too little for his speech?
November 9th, 2009 at 5:25 pm
He is famous.
I have stars in my eyes just thinking about being in new brunswick to see JT speak…..
sorry i tripped my sarcasm breaker.
November 9th, 2009 at 6:50 pm
more importantly he has “good” hair.
November 9th, 2009 at 10:25 pm
Wonder how much this news getting out had to do with the collapse of the lib vote in Que tonight.
Hey, we took a seat from the Bloc. 2 wins for us, a loss for the Bloc and a hold on for NDP.
November 10th, 2009 at 4:56 am
It is rather stupendous that a backbench Liberal would charge anything beyond expenses to speak at a fundraiser. It's a scandalous amount by any standards. Begs the question, what's in a name?
Geographically, the bi-election results couldn't be better.
Guessing the Iggy/Donolo team didn't get hitched up in time….

TRAVERS, TABER, OLIVER, FIFE, CLARK CBC CTV, etc etc must be scratching their heards wondering what went wrong after they spent years, months wks, hrs doing their best 'protecting their 'LOVED ONES THE LIBERAL PARTY OF CANADA.
November 10th, 2009 at 6:53 am
Jen, they'll be droning on about what the Liberals have to do to gain support, helping any way they can, including giving air time to any pseudo scandals the Liberal bunker boys can dig up. It's becoming a gong show of major proportions and the media seems willing to spend all their credibility capital on it.
Peter Donolo must be busy these days brushing up on some magic tricks and hoping for some miracle of near biblical proportions.

It shows that both parties not fit to handle taxpayers purse.
November 10th, 2009 at 8:55 am
You watch, the ' liberal' national media we see everyday will suggest in a very nice way so as not to sound concern 'that a Coalition with the NDP is a new trend for the success of the LIBERALS'.
THE MEDIA GONG SHOW -not a bad idea for a 'DAY' show. At least a little comedy to soothe the soul.
NO, really Liz, CANADIANS deserves better than those ' TWITS ' who pretend to be the MEDIA.
The Liberals most likely will join the NDP
November 10th, 2009 at 1:17 pm
THE NATIONAL MEDIA will – they will lay the red carpet for that matter.
BTW, did any of the Liberals who still owe EC pay their dues yet?
November 11th, 2009 at 8:19 am
Come on, he was promoting literacy, as in read the fine print.

It's not that JT charges a fee to speak, its that he did so to his own Liberals for a fundraiser. If he was speaking to some group like the Canadian Paint and Coatings Association, by all means, charge away.
Find me one proven instance where Duffy has charged his fee to conservatives for their fundraiser, and maybe I'll take your trolling seriously.

It won't be long until the LP makes this guy their leader on the hope that he 'is his father's son' and will return them to their former glory. What they will get though, is another dud leader. Look, this guy was recently commenting on the new book about his father and he said 'it's all new to me', he had no idea of the politics of his father's time. None. 'New to me.' Come on, this guy is almost 40 years old and he never studied Canadian history especially at the time of his father? He said in one interview that his dad never brought his work home so he had until this recent book, no idea as to what his father did. He is a rich kid who has played most of his life and that's what makes him so annoying. He took the minimum in university to get his teaching degree. In all his years his total working experience is less than 4 years teaching drama on and off. The easiest road a teacher can take. Now he's an MP charging his own this kind of money for a little speech? If it weren't for his father absolutely no one would be interested in what he has to say. He's a faker.

If the Liberals go with Justin Trudeau we'll know for sure they have a penchant for poor picking, the guy's not ripe, green as grass, just listen to him!
Poor, poor Liberals, now relying on Donolo to work wonders, more like miracles, when he himself hasn't been in politics for a couple of decades when he worked for Chretien when Liberals reigned supreme with little or no opposition.
Paul Martin, a man of great expectations and experience got the job he coveted for decades then didn't know what to do with it, couldn't best his nemesis Jean Chretien who fixed his wagon and that of his party. It's job that requires more than the ability to deliver a prepared speech with platitudes and smarmy rhetoric. They need a leader in more than name. A successful leader is not a puppet.
If they want to continue down this path, they'll get the same results.

The Liberal must be very desperate to pay 10 G for en empty Head like Justin.
Boy are they in trouble.
November 13th, 2009 at 12:50 pm
Did Justin charge those young libs to speak at Concordia U the other day.
November 15th, 2009 at 8:27 am
Well said, BatB. There is, indeed, very little distance between the pig's snout and his nether region.
November 15th, 2009 at 8:30 am
Actually, our party CAN afford the fees. Our party does not owe money to Elections Canada and our party did not steal millions from Canadian taxpayers. Do you have any other ill-thought comment to make? Perhaps, TJ, you should think before commenting. Never make a comment which can be shot down so easily.
November 15th, 2009 at 8:31 am
I take it that you are speaking of the Liberal and New Democrat parties.
November 15th, 2009 at 8:32 am
Hey Leasa. How are you doing? I haven't seen you since the good old days at the now-defunct Halton Dude Ranch. I hope all is well with you.
November 17th, 2009 at 5:18 pm
Peter Pan does not come cheap. If the tax trough is not available in the liberal world, then the house pays. The entitled apple has learned well.
