I can say Iggy is a "failed politician" based on the last 3 or 4 polls that all give Harper a near-majority vote of confidence by Canadians .. and that's not "just being silly". In the present world, all we have is polls, and it appears Canadians are settling in quite comfortably with PM Harper, wouldn't you say? Also the CPC "ads" were not "election" ads but "definition" ads that nicely nailed Iggy up against the wall, without even attacking the Liberal party. Meanwhile, Liberals are still attempting to insult ('Harpercrite' - how silly is that?!) and demonize PM Harper in their desperation, but it's not working one iota ... and the "negative" stuff is all coming from the Liberals. It's the responses to his post, and the resulting flamewars. The comments section at both Taylor's and Janke's have become pretty much unreadable lately; worse than the Globe or CBC. That is what this guy is trying to accomplish, and he's succeeding. Maclean's doesn't put up with this crap, and their comments section is probably the best in the Canadian blogosphere because of it; even though it's largely dominated by Liberal sympathizers, the discussion is for the most part as reasonable as it gets when partisans cross swords. Of course it's Stephen's site and he'll do as he pleases, but freedom of speech does not require that the two Steves allow this guy and others like him to destroy the discussion threads.
