Parny love, with three replies to one post, forgive me for asking, but who's hysterical?

I don't recall mentioning the Conservative logo on the billboard sized cheques but it's a minor discretion and it's been dealt with and case closed. Most of us capable of reasoned thought know the money doesn't come from the CPC alone but they are the party in power and they get to deliver it, it's their job. Unethical? Get back about that after you refresh your memory and compare it with some of the real scandals and unethical behaviour that went down under the Liberal government.

Liz J hysterical just in case you think the MSM still need to be in a bind here's good news for you:
http://thestar.blogs.com/politics/2009/10/check...
Check the record by Susan Delacourt
In July, Dimitri Soudas, the PM's spokesman, was remarkably vague -- and not at all contrite -- when I talked to him for this story, which was written after constituents in Peter Van Loan's riding complained about the minister passing off government cheques as his own, or as Conservative party benevolence.

In fact, the federal Treasury Board investigated whether it was proper and in the face of that, all Soudas could tell me was that he was "proud" of the big cheque given to the good citizens of Innisfil.

Tonight, I heard Soudas telling CTV's Tom Clark that it was "NOT appropriate" for MPs to be slapping party logos and MPs' signatures on government cheques.

So, my questions are:

1. When did the PMO decide that Van Loan and others were off side with their carnival-sized cheques? They've known since at least July that this was going on.

2. And, since when did MPs start doing anything independently in this government? Did all these MPs and ministers just head to to the copy shop and get these cheques printed up themselves, by huge coincidence?

If Mr. Soudas would like to answer these questions, in light of his comments to the Star last July, we'll happily print them here.

...........................................

In order to ensure you have full coverage please check WK's site for all the latest facts on this.

Yes, batb, PM Harper is the best PM we've had in decades and it shows. This fact has the Liberals scrambling as evidenced by their penchant for trolling the depths for pseudo scandals instead of getting their own house in order and fit to present as a government in waiting.

In contrast, Iggy is starting to wear his challenging job on his face, looking ever more haggard. I join Senator Duffy in feeling sorry for the man. He's obviously out of his realm. It would be difficult even for an experienced politician to control the fractious LPOC as it's leader. Iggy is far removed from being ready to govern the country, it appears from polling results the people have made that deduction.

The media are in a bind and they know it. The Liberals are their constant whine, lamenting their sad performance while they really hate to put out any good news about the government or the PM.
