Ignatieff.me

Jane Taber wrote last weekend,

For all those Canadians who think Michael Ignatieff, the newly-installed Liberal Leader, is an intellectual snob, read on: He enjoys keeping up on all the celebrity news and gossip in tabloid magazines, including Star Magazine and HELLO! Canada. As a result, he says he knows all about the ravages of cellulite, the dimply-skin problem that affects mostly women. Indeed, his knowledge of that issue is as rich as it is of the carbon cap and trade system. However, he is just enough of a snob that he refuses to be seen buying the magazines; his wife, Zsuszanna Zsohar, does that.

Dr. Ignatieff will be spending a lot of time on this mag. It’s Ignatieff.me!

Put together by volunteers? Well, I suppose next you're going to say that this childish attempt at good old American political horsehockey is being aired by volunteer television networks? I'm sure compared to the FIFTY BILLION DOLLAR “surprise” deficit it may seem that way, but understand those TV ads are bought and paid for. Websites are not 'free', and it would take more than a 'day off' to put together this laughable excuse for a sound political point. It's sad that Canadian politics has hit this all time low. How very American. For shame. Tell you what, why not take that money that is being used to pay for airing this trash and feed the poor! Or help some of the newly unemployed… it just goes to show how out of touch this government really is.

Kudos, Ted. Someone finally says what matters. Who cares how long Mr Ignatieff spent in other nations, educating himself and others … he's a Canadian and leader of the Liberals, both of which Harper loves to deny but too bad! Harper and his harpy-conservatives make attack ads, trying to get Canadians to be anti-Ignatieff because M.I. is “cosmopolitan” … well so is a huge percentage of Canadians! How about values and policies? If they can't find anything reasonable to complain about the Conservatives should just shut up.

Iggy isn't saying anything about a coalition right now, Harper is hoping for one to stay in power, the ads may not be attack ads, but they sure aren't accurate..hypocrisy is disgusting in all its manifestations including the current Tory one..
