I find it interesting that you have not changed the title of your post or provided a more accurate post since it was found that your comments are in fact inaccurate and misleading.

Or have Harper’s guys asked you to keep it up for now? You must be getting scared eh? Ignatieff is really giving you and your boss a scare…you’re going to lose all your access when the CPC is defeated

Oh, please. Stephen, john g – the response is not “worded very carefully”. Liberals are being honest and telling the truth very simply here: they may be getting software in the future (probably where the confusion in the Don Martin article stems from), but haven’t gotten it yet. Period. No story here – except maybe for how some Conservatives love to spread unfounded rumours. The title may not be a direct accusation (I guess the question mark was “carefully” added for that purpose), but the other 38 characters are claiming something which is offensive, in addition to being a total lie.

Bull, ST. You know as well as anyone that merely putting a question mark on a phrase does not make non-libellous. You don’t, out of the blue, question whether someone is doing something illegal and not make an accusation. This kind of scurrilous technical dancing that keeps Canadians from trusting Conservatives.

Moreover, it is you who has drawn the conclusion not Don. “That’s the conclusion one may come to if one reads Don Martin’s latest column in the National Post. However, it seems that Don doesn’t come upon the conclusion himself.” And you go through great pains and contortions in the long legal analysis to prove your point.

In another post, you claim to be a responsible citizen journalist by not posting an email accusation against an MP that you could not substantiate after much responsible investigation. How much digging did you do for this post Stephen? Did you call Don? Did you call the Liberal Party? Did you call the Democrats?

Taylor, you are a partisan and I don’t fault you for trying to get digs in at your opponents expense. But you have your answer from the party so the decent and non-libellous thing to do would be to change the heading now that you know it is false.

On a day when your party is being accused by its own in Parliament today of doing grossly indecent things, even illegal things, you may consider it more appropriate to be a bit more circumspect. Or is this an attempt at countering Casey’s allegations?
