Poor CTV

and now this:

(would someone pay the bandwidth bill at CTV!)

Consider too:

Last time I checked, funding for the CBC went up to $1.2 Billion under the Conservatives.  While we’re talking about propping up and subsidizing organizations like the Liberal Party and Bloc Quebecois, perhaps we should instead be talking about letting organizations that inspire and provide a competitive product compete on a level playing field with those that don’t and unfairly receive welfare from the Canadian taxpayer.

I was trying to read the discussion on the NDP/Lib coalition on CTV, and it was up to at least 172 comments. The article crashed, would no longer load and so did the site… And now, the article has been removed.

They certainly are having issues :P

As for the cuts to private media organizations, you are probably right, the CBC should also tighten its belt.

Sure have! It would be “you and me” Canadians, writing to their sponsers, to tell them we have quit buying their products! The absolute insanity, of the partisan position, that CTV has continued to posture, is not resonating well with, Conservatives. Liberals POUT and Conservatives ACT, period.

Maybe they will all be appointed to the senate when the opposition coalition takes over as the government of Canada

I heard if the government falls, Dion will be ousted and Ignatieff will be made leader of the Liberal party. Then he'll be made leader of Canada once the liberals and NDP form a coalition with an outside pledge of support from the Bloc.

And the Liberals say the Conservatives are a front to democracy? The Liberal/NDP coalition will be 29 seats short of the Conservatives with an unelected party leader being made an unelected Prime Minister. All without an election. Where are the palm trees and beaches cause this must be Cuba.

I alway felt it unfair that CBC could always out bid TSN for Hockey Night in Canada broadcast rights. TSN pays tax dollars, that can be used to compete against themselves. If this is in anyway a fair scenario, I wish I could know how.

Harper should finally give poor old Mike Duffy the senate seat that was promised to him, before he gets booted out on his ass this week.

Poor Duffster has carried the flag long and hard for the CPC, its time he got something back!

When private news corporations are cutting back on reporting staff, isn't that the time when we need an agency that isn't? More than ever? Furthermore, the CBC reaches parts of Canada where it's not profitable for private companies to go – again, even more so now – and it links us together as a nation, informing everybody, not just those who live in the towns in the lower half of the country and have regular television and internet service.

It just goes to show that Bell throttles everyone equally, even customers to whom they own.

Yep, if we stick with CTV we'll get more “Law & Order” or CSI than we already do…or even better, how about Ben Mulroney 5 nights a week! CBC is a distinctive Canadian product, especially radio – long live the CBC!!
