Strategic Voting

With all of this talk of strategic voting, I thought I’d make a strategic vote website that actually works.

Wow! That's amazing. No matter what postal code I enter, I should vote Conservative in order to stop the radical progressive hordes from regaining power. This handy tool just confirms my vote.

You made me laugh big time. Thanks.

  • Phil Hauser

Call CTV they should report this incredible sight just like votefortheenvironment.screwcanada and all the others.

On the issue of “staretigic voting”, Climbing out of the Dark has a great piece with a CPAC clip, showing Carolyn Bennett working with a Green Party candidate on forming a coalition.

    http://climbingoutofthedark.blogspot.com/2008/1…

Frustrating for me specifically because I live in St. Paul's, Bennett's riding. And she'll win in a landslide. It's incumbent upon the MSM, particularly those providing local Toronto coverage of the election – Citytv, CFTO, Global, etc – to get this story out immediately so Bennett, who was on The Michael Coren Show a few days ago and denied a deal had been cooked, can be exposed for being a liar and we can judge her at the ballot box accordingly… but of course they won't do any stories on this.

The fact that Bennett isn't even in her own riding should anger voters here… It shows her contempt for us, that she doesn't even have to work in her riding to get elected.

Thanks, Stephen! Without this wonderful tool I'd have had no idea how to vote:-)

Ha… that’s great Stephen…In our riding (Cariboo North),incumbent Richard (Dick) Harris is king.
He’s effective, thoughtful, involved at the community level and all round,a pretty good guy.I have no problem sending him back to Ottawa.
Harris and his ilk are good steady backbone material for good steady gov’t.
At this time, WE need good thoughtful governance and NOT a socialist makeover from a cabal of inexperienced, idealogical over emotional FOOLS.
    There I’ve said it!

  • Rush

I would ask all stupid people not to vote tomorrow. This would ensure a conservative majority.

  • Jooge

    Sweet! : )

  • Timwest

Works for me…………… Thank you Mr. Taylor !!

  • Mike514

But what if I'm in Andre Arthur's riding, where there's no Conservative candidate?…

  • Vlad

Very nice Stephen. I don’t usually comment but this one definitely deserved it. It reflects perfectly on the situation.

I am very much hoping for a comfortable majority for the Conservatives tomorrow…. despite what the polls are saying.

Keep up the great work, Stephen.

  • Kaz

It’s so great. Everyone should use this.

I checked out your “strategic voting” link even though I voted at the advanced polls. It rails against voting Liberal (logically) but this riding has alternated between Conservative (and its predecessors) and NDP – the Liberal candidate is just a sacrificial lamb. So, did I just come upon a standard answer for all ridings? In my opinion, so-called “strategic voting” should be banned anyway, along with Elizabeth May’s fronting for the Liberal party. Where is Elections Canada when the Conservatives are the victims?

  • FedUp in NWO

    Clever!!!!

  • James

hahaha, how long did it take you to write this amazingly complex script?

  • JS

Whoa! That was amazing! Thanks so much, Stephen. It really helped to clarify how to strategically vote in my riding.

  • Anne in swON

Thank goodness for this strategic vote site. It confirms my gut feeling that my conservative riding will remain conservative if I vote conservative. What are the odds on that? Thanks for the laugh, Stephen.

  • Squiggy

Very thoughtful and hopefully it works….got to tell you that Jack Layton was interviewed last night on a french network program that is very highly rated..”tout le monde en parle”Although not a fan,Jack did very well and was very witty kibbitsin with other guest and the moderator. At the end of the interview, guests always receive a little card, which they read out loud…..the short phrase is usually of a sarcastic nature…Jack read[and this is loosely translated]..” Mr. Layton, your NDP program is like a box of Cracker Jack…….sugar coated with a surprise at the end ..but nobody knows what it is.” Needless to say,Jack was laughing but …………

  • FedUp

Saw you on CH tonight. I thought you held your own and even looked rather professional amongst the other two bickering at each other. You gave Crawley the spin doctor a few zingers that kept him spinning more. The truth hurts. I find Lavigne rather like all other NDP spokespeople I've seen, always espousing the usual socialist talking points.

I hope by the end of Tuesday evening that we have a Conservative Majority.

  • MaryT

I entered several postal codes for my riding and gee, I should vote conservative. I did in advance polls. But my sitting MP won last time by over 30,000 votes. Think he will do the same tomorrow.
And, my sign has not been moved, removed or damaged.

  • mike

I wholeheartedly agree with Rush, as long as you replace the word 'stupid' with 'sensible,' and 'conservative' with 'condescending prick.' HIGH-OH

  • itsonlysteam

Cool, the Conservative Party needs my 2 dollar subsidy anyway … even though they will win this riding by a monstrous margin.
