Jack Layton and the ever goofy NDP thinks oil sands are bad. Our oil, in our sand, on our soil. Apparently Taliban Jack would prefer we be held hostage by the oil-rich middle east countries for our oil. You know, those bastions of democracy like Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Libya, Iran.
Taliban Jack and the ever goofy NDP knows not of what he speaks. He is JUST a critic – that's all the NDP knows. When they go blustering about what they will do when Jack is Prime Minister – ROTFL! believe you me they haven't a CLUE, not a CLUE about the real world. Silver-spoon fed, caviar sucking, champagne swilling socialists, who've become addicted to living off the taxpayer. Let them go out and get a real job for awhile, and then get back to us.

To be fair, I think Jack Layton has proposed a moratorium on NEW oilsands development. Meaning, existing projects would carry on.

I feel so sorry for Newfoundlanders who have to put up, through no fault of their own with Danny Williams ABC Plan. The big bully has it all wrong, ABC stands for Anything But Canadian.
His behavior has become identical to the Bloq. Offer nothing, do nothing and when the going gets rough blame everone but himself.
Hundreds of young Newfoundlanders fighting for our country in war. Frigates involved in the war with over one third of their seamen from Newfoundland. What does the spoiled dictator do? He orders the Canadian flag taken down. Like a kid taking a temper tantrum. This shows how much respect he has for others.
It is pathetic to think Newfoundlander's fall for his take the pill attitude. Supporting Jack Layton after he told everyone in Alberta that the oil sands should be shut down immediately. Imagine what the price of oil and gasoline would be than. Imagine our Country as tens of thousands become unemployed. Layton than goes to the Rock and never opens his mouth about shutting big oil down. This is what Danny Williams loves?
Am I the only one who remembers why Danny Williams son suffered such a terrible assault in downtown St. John's? Was that not a result of Mr. Williams making all kinds of promises to get elected and than once in power proceeding to break most of his pre-election promises? Did he not promise that there would be no layoffs?
What ABC needs is a mirror.
Citizens being told they will be sent to to other Provinces for cancer treatment. Hospitals in terrible condition. Yes indeed Danny Williams is "ANYTHING BUT CANADIAN".

Williams does what is best for Newfoundland, not Canada. If restoring NL to it's historical status outside of Canada is what he sees as best, that is the path he will follow. I've followed his statements and actions, and believe this is the track he is on. I think Williams feels that NL will never achieve anything while being governed from Canada, and 60 years of history shows this is likely the correct assumption.

Danny Williams may be preparing to build a firewall around NL should there be another Harper government … and then start a separatist movement to take NL out of Canada … after all they will have Billion$$$$ pouring into their government coffers once the oil and gas royalties start to roll in.

Totally agree Stephen. As mentioned in the comments, Robert Fife reported that Danny's goon sqaud has been out after dark. Seems it's Danny's way or the highway for those that seem to feel PMSH is their choice. Not a good scenerio for the folks of the “rock”
