Speaking of Stephen Harper:

Stephen Harper would condemn George W. Bush’s hate crimes.

George W. Bush committed hate crimes of epic proportions and with the stench of terrorism (indicated in my blog).

George W. Bush did in fact commit innumerable hate crimes.

And I do solemnly swear by Almighty God that George W. Bush committed other hate crimes of epic proportions and with the stench of terrorism which I am not at liberty to mention.

Many people know what Bush did.

And many people will know what Bush did—even to the end of the world.

Bush was absolute evil.

Bush is now like a fugitive from justice.

Bush is a psychological prisoner.

Bush has a lot to worry about.

Bush can technically be prosecuted for hate crimes at any time.

In any case, Bush will go down in history in infamy.

Submitted by Andrew Yu-Jen Wang
B.S., Summa Cum Laude, 1996
Messiah College, Grantham, PA
Lower Merion High School, Ardmore, PA, 1993

(I can type 90 words per minute. In only 7 days, posts basically like this post of mine have come into existence—all over the Internet (hundreds of copies). One can go to Google USA right now, type “George W. Bush committed hate crimes of epic proportions and with the stench of terrorism,” hit “Enter,” and find more than 350 copies indicating the content of this post. All in all, there are probably more than 1,000 copies on the Internet indicating the content of this post—it has practically become headline news. One cannot be too dedicated when it comes to anti-Bush activities. As I looked back at my good computer work, I thought how fun and easy it was to do it.)

“GEORGE W. BUSH IS THE WORST PRESIDENT IN U.S. HISTORY” BLOG OF ANDREW YU-JEN WANG
_________________
I am not sure where I had read it before, but anyway, it goes kind of like this: “If only it were possible to ban invention that bottled up memories so they never got stale and faded.” Oh wait—off the top of my head—I think it came from my Lower Merion High School yearbook.

It's pretty clear from the above quote that it's your tax money the Conservatives covet, not your donations.

Not that they're sad to see your cheques come rolling in, but the most generous (legal) political donations are but chump change compared to the vast amounts of money that accrue to those in and connected to a party once they have achieved power.

Anyone who thinks that a vast, octopus-like government is crooked when run by Liberals but clean and wholesome when run by "their guys" is either a dissembling partisan who hopes to participate in the division of the loot, or if not benefiting from the redistribution, is a silly ass who doesn't know what's good for them.

The most painful part about federal politics is that this so-called Conservative party actually dared at one time, to say that government was too big and that people need more freedom and fewer nannies. Now the most dedicated cheerleaders for the party (cough, hacks) won't spend a single jot or tittle of their blog space or column inches discussing Conservative policies as such. That's because the policies are nothing but a massive dose of the same socialist crapola they once claimed to despise. This blog for example - Harper was up north rambling on like an old-time commie about how his government is going to continue to do everything for (to) the northerners as before, and much, much more. Real conservatives know damn well that the more government money is poured into an area the more useless, dissolute and debauched the people become. So partisan supporters don't say a damned thing about that part of his speech. Too painful, for anyone with a shred of commonsense (and morals). Instead, let's focus on the ridiculous, meaningless feel-good quotes that some hack plagiarized 'cause he wanted to hurry up and finish the speech and get out to the cottage to enjoy the last summer weekend of the year. Way to go guys - you're keeping these guys in clover. And if they can score enough corporate board memberships, jobs at government contractors, thinktanks, senate seats and permanent civil service jobs (implementing the bogus policies they invented when they were in power) then you're going to set them up for life. All because you think that Big Government works when the right people are running it.

... or, Harper is well read. True, that would be a long shot given the nature of Canadian politics, but it just might be possible that we have a PM who reads books and not just briefing papers.

"If you look at Afghanistan, taxes and the environment; Obama sounds very similar to Harper."

You're right. While listening to Obama's acceptance speech yesterday the very same thought crossed my mind. Of course, a major difference on delivery.

And as for "channeling" vs "plagiarizing" the similarity in speeches shows that politicians, despite some people's expectations for government to do everything for them including wipe their nose and perhaps other parts of their anatomy, cannot and will not be reinventing the wheel.

I have always said there is a lot more in common between Obama and Harper than there is between Dion and Obama. If you look at Afghanistan, taxes and the environment; Obama sounds very similar to Harper.
